Visa and immigration issues

EU and EEA nationals do not require a visa in the Schengen area but must have their passport to enter and stay in France.

For other nationals of EU member states, France generally requires a visa authorizing their entry and stay for the duration of their visit.

Important

As a rule, visiting professors are not paid. In the event of receiving a salary or fee as part of a request to give additional lessons, the visiting teacher must hold a temporary work permit issued in France by the Direction départementale de l’emploi, du travail et des solidarités. No remuneration can be granted by the school without having carried out this formality.
