Entrepreneurship Options in ESSCA's Programmes
Master in Management Programme – “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” Option
As part of its Master in Management programme, ESSCA offers a specialist track in “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” available on the Angers and Paris campuses during the 5th year.
This specialisation develops students’s entrepreneurial mindset and nurtures their entrepreneurial projects across various domains: from startups, acquisitions, and franchising to intrapreneurship and business development. It equips them with indispensable skills, practical knowledge, and interpersonal aptitudes crucial for running entrepreneurial ventures, including project management, business growth strategies, effective communication, proactive initiative, and leadership. The programme encourages students to think innovatively and devise solutions to address the grand societal and environmental challenges.
The specialisation primes students for business startup activities and positions them for careers in supporting entrepreneurs, startup consultancy, and innovation management.
Bachelor Programme - “Entrepreneurship” Option
For the Bachelor programme, 3rd year students have the opportunity to select the Entrepreneurship option.
This programme focuses on developing creativity suited to business and entrepreneurial contexts.
An inaugural seminar on “Mental Preparation for Entrepreneurs” as a performance lever is organised.
Advanced Master in Digital Management
Participants of the Advenced Master’s in Digital Management have the opportunity to meet start-ups, successful entrepreneurs, and investors during the week-long international Learning Expedition. In 2024, this took place in Lisbon.
Executive Education
Our Executive Education programmes enable the development of skills in innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking, and digital.
Entrepreneurial Semester
The School offers an Entrepreneurial Semester, allowing any student with an entrepreneurial project (start-up, takeover), regardless of their (pre)specialisation or the degree of maturity of the project (emergence, creation, growth, etc.), to carry it out full-time in place of a company internship. The aim of the entrepreneurial semester is to advance as much as possible in realising an entrepreneurial venture and to develop entrepreneurial skills. It is available in the 3rd year of the Bachelor programme, and in the 4th and 5th years of the Master in Management programme, as well as for one-year programmes.

ESSCA has put in place the “Parcours Passion”, a series of arrangements designed specifically to accompany and support talented students or those pursuing parallel careers in fields such as elite sports, the arts or entrepreneurship. The scheme offers a flexible, individualised approach that takes account each student’s passions and extra-curricular engagements. To facilitate this unique combination of engagements, ESSCA provides learning arrangements that meet the individual needs of each student.
ESSCA ENTREPRENDRE, your entrepreneurship partner
The ESSCA ENTREPRENDRE student society federates students passionate about entrepreneurship or simply curious about the field, providing them with diverse opportunities and information.
National Student-Entrepreneur Status
ESSCA is a partner of the Pépite network, both on its campuses and nationally. This partnership notably allows students to benefit from the SNEE, the National Student-Entrepreneur Status.
Through these initiatives, ESSCA enriches its student community with experiences that prepare them to tackle the challenges of the entrepreneurial world and seize its opportunities.
